Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Microsoft Power Platform Architect with extensive Research & Development (R&D) experience to drive innovation and deliver next-generation enterprise solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise in Power Platform with a strong focus on exploring emerging technologies, building proof-of-concepts (PoCs), evaluating new capabilities, and defining best practices for enterprise adoption. The ideal candidate is a visionary technologist who can bridge business requirements with cutting-edge low-code/no-code innovations.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
Architect and design enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, Dataverse).
Define reusable frameworks, reference architectures, and accelerators for rapid solution delivery.
Drive integration strategies with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure services, and external systems.
Research & Development (R&D)
Continuously explore new Power Platform features, connectors, AI Builder, Copilot, and emerging Microsoft technologies.
Design and implement innovative PoCs and prototypes to validate new concepts and business use cases.
Conduct comparative analysis of low-code/no-code vs custom development approaches to recommend optimal solutions.
Collaborate with Microsoft and industry partners to stay ahead of product roadmaps and technology trends.
Governance, Security & ALM
Define governance standards, environment strategy, and DLP policies.
Establish best practices for CI/CD pipelines, source control, and ALM in Power Platform.
Ensure solutions comply with enterprise-grade security, scalability, and compliance standards.
Thought Leadership & Enablement
Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and business leaders on Power Platform strategy.
Publish white papers, technical playbooks, and best practices to enable wider adoption.
Mentor developers and business users, promoting innovation and citizen development.
Lead design-thinking workshops to identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
Extensive hands-on experience with Power Apps (Canvas, Model-driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI, Power Pages.
Strong knowledge of Azure integration (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Cognitive Services, OpenAI).
Proven ability to design and implement enterprise integrations and automation frameworks.
R&D & Innovation
Demonstrated experience in driving R&D initiatives, prototyping, and experimenting with new Microsoft technologies.
Hands-on expertise with AI Builder, Copilot, and advanced automation scenarios.
Track record of publishing accelerators, reusable components, or frameworks.
Professional Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with executive stakeholders.
Ability to lead innovation labs, hackathons, and pilot programs.
Strategic mindset with ability to balance research with practical delivery.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
12+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Microsoft Power Platform.
Prior experience in R&D, innovation labs, or technology incubators preferred.
Microsoft Certifications:
Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) – Required.
PL-400 / PL-500 / AI-102 or Azure AI certifications – Highly desirable.
