We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated NICU Consultant to join our esteemed medical team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Responsibilities:- Provide expert medical care and management for critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Lead and supervise a team of medical professionals, including residents, fellows, nurses, and allied health staff.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols and clinical guidelines for neonatal care.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide continuous patient coverage.
- Engage in medical education, training, and research activities within the department.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families, providing support and clear explanations of treatment plans.
- Medical degree (MD or MS) with completion of a recognized residency program.
- Fellowship training in Neonatology is essential.
- Current valid medical license to practice in India.
- Minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 9 years of experience post-fellowship in Neonatology.
- Specialization in neonatology, with expertise in pediatric intensive care and critical care for newborns.
- Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural skills in neonatology.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in relevant medical technologies and electronic health record systems.
