Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled NVH Design and Simulation Support Engineer to support the design, development, and validation of automotive components and systems with a focus on Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) performance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Siemens NX, engineering BOM management, material selection, GD&T application, and cross-functional engineering support.
The role involves collaborating with design, simulation, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to ensure robust product development while meeting NVH, quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering Support
Support NVH design and simulation activities for automotive products and systems.
Develop and modify 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using Siemens NX.
Assist in optimizing component designs based on simulation results and NVH requirements.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, design guidelines, and customer requirements.
BOM Management
Create, maintain, and manage Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM).
Work closely with manufacturing teams to support Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) alignment.
Ensure product structure consistency across PLM, design, and manufacturing systems.
Material Engineering
Apply knowledge of engineering material grades and manufacturing processes during product development.
Support material selection activities considering performance, durability, cost, and NVH targets.
Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve material-related issues.
GD&T and Documentation
Interpret and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles in engineering drawings.
Prepare and review technical documentation, engineering drawings, and design change requests.
Ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with company and customer standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with NVH analysts, design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and project teams.
Support engineering change management and product release activities.
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions to improve product performance.
Mandatory Skills
Proficiency in Siemens NX (3D Modeling & Drafting)
Experience working with EBOM and MBOM
Knowledge of Engineering Material Grades
Mid-level understanding and application of GD&T
Automotive Product Development experience
Engineering Change Management
Technical Documentation and Drawing Review
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Exposure to NVH Design and Simulation activities
Knowledge of Automotive Powertrain Systems
Experience with PLM tools (Teamcenter preferred)

Educational Qualification
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline.
Position Title: Wave 1D Acoustic Engineer
Exhaust System & NVH Experience 4-12 Years
Location Pune/ Bangalore / Chennai / Hybrid Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Wave 1D Acoustic Engineer to develop and validate 1 D gas-dynamic and acoustic simulation models for automotive exhaust and aftertreatment systems The role focuses on predicting and optimizing Sound Pressure Level (SPL), Transmission Loss (TL), Insertion Loss (IL), pressure pulsations, and exhaust backpressure to meet vehicle NVH, performance targets
The candidate will work closely with design, CFD, testing, and vehicle NVH teams to deliver simulation-led product development solutions. The candidate should also have strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and 1D gas-dynamic behavior.
The candidate must understand how to model exhaust systems, debugging model errors, solver configuration calibration and validation with test results. The candidate must understand for
optimizing geometry specifications mufflers and resonators.
Must Have: Exhaust domain with 1 D and Wave experience.
