- Role
The Plant Manager (m/f/d) is responsible for the operational management and further development of the production organization at the Indian site. He or she is responsible for Manufacturing, MRP & Operational Purchasing, Store & Logistics, and Maintenance, and reports to the local Managing Director of Operations. A key focus of the role is shaping the next evolutionary step in manufacturing: the transformation from a predominantly assembly-oriented production process to one with greater manufacturing and technological depth.
The Plant Manager prepares the site structurally, technologically, and organizationally for increasing volume business and ensures the scalability of processes, structures, and competencies in line with the global production strategy of the German parent company as well as the APAC regional goals.
- Qualifications
The ideal candidate (m/f/d) holds a master's degree in a technical field, ideally electrical engineering or production engineering, or a comparable qualification. Additional training in a business-related field is desirable. A demonstrable affinity for technical products is a prerequisite. Additional qualifications in operations management or Lean/Six Sigma certification are advantageous.

In addition to the native language, the candidate (m/f/d) is fluent in spoken and written English. He or she is familiar with the requirements and working methods of medium-sized companies as well as with working in India.

- Experience
- Several years of experience in managing production or operations in India; preferably in the production of technical goods using partially automated systems (e.g., Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Factory Head)
- Proven experience in establishing or expanding vertical integration (e.g., in-house manufacturing, industrialization, localization)
- Extensive knowledge of production planning and production control (Lean methods, etc.)
- Experience in preparing for and managing growing volume business
- Evidence of relevant achievements in a leadership role and in managing employees
- Possesses strong business acumen
- Manages change and drives technological transformation
- Possesses IT skills typical for the role
