Key Responsibilities:
Materials Management:
Plan and manage the flow of materials from suppliers to production and dispatch.
Monitor material requirements to avoid shortages or excess.
Logistics Management:
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations.
Coordinate with transport partners to ensure timely delivery and dispatch.
Inventory Management:
Maintain optimal inventory levels in line with demand forecasts and budget targets.
Implement inventory control measures to minimize obsolescence and pilferage.
Warehouse Management:
Supervise warehouse operations, layout optimization, and space utilization.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in warehousing.
Procurement:
Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to improve quality and reduce costs.
Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with agreed SLAs.
Cost Optimization:
Analyze supply chain expenses and identify areas for cost reduction.
Implement best practices to improve efficiency across processes.
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare periodic reports on inventory, procurement, and logistics metrics.
Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.
