Production Lead, Location: Kolkata
Job Summary
The Production Head will oversee the entire production process, ensuring that all garments are produced on time, within budget, and to the buyer's quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic mindset, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent coordination skills to manage the workflow from initial design to final product delivery. This role will need the lead to travel to different locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the production team, providing guidance, training, and support.
* Develop and implement production strategies that align with the brand's approvals and goals.
* Create detailed production schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
* Coordinate with design, purchasing, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow.
* Establish and maintain quality control standards.
* Conduct regular inspections and ensure all products meet the brand's quality requirements.
* Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
* Ensure timely procurement of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
* Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive Bachelor's/master's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 15 years of experience in production management within the fashion industry.
* Proven experience in leading a production team in a high-paced environment.
* Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and production processes.
* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in production management software and tools.
