Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for planning and managing all manufacturing activities and production schedules. This role coordinates workflow for one or multiple products, ensuring maximum performance, minimum delay, and efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and labor.
Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling and Planning
Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets.
Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and meet committed delivery dates.
Determine the manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover production demand, working from Bills of Material (BOMs) and routings.
Issue, release, and manage work orders to the production floor, adjusting priorities as needed.
Monitor production progress, identify deviations from the schedule, and promptly adjust plans to resolve delays or bottlenecks.
