Job Title: Purchase Engineer
Location: Hyderabad (Office-based)
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Reports To: Procurement Head / Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
Identify and qualify suppliers for engineering items such as:
o Pumps, pipes, valves
o Firefighting systems and accessories ...
o Cables, circuit breakers, transformers
o Industrial fans, blowers, HVAC items
o Instruments and control equipment
Float RFQs, analyze quotations, and prepare comparative statements (TCS and CCS).
Coordinate with engineering, project, and finance teams for technical and commercial alignment.
Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and warranty conditions with vendors.
Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for timely deliveries.
Ensure procurement compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Maintain vendor records, performance data, and procurement trackers.
Assist in vendor development and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Coordinate with logistics and site teams to ensure proper material receipt and inspection.
Candidate Requirements:
Education: Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation preferred)
Experience: 3 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in procurement of engineering goods in EPC or MEP companies
Technical Skills:
o Good understanding of technical specifications and standards for industrial components
o Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems
o Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and related tools
Behavioral Skills:
o Strong negotiation and communication skills
o Detail-oriented with time management ability
o Team player with a sense of ownership and accountability
