We are looking for a Lead Engineer - Quality to provide technical and people leadership within the Quality Engineering (QE) function. The role will focus on QE practices, end-to-end testing, automated regression, capability development, coaching, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide organizational and technical leadership within the Quality Engineering function.
- Establish and govern QE practices, standards, and capabilities.
- Implement and promote centralized QE best practices across the Community of Practice (COP).
- Drive consistency in knowledge and skills by sharing best practices and addressing common challenges.
- Lead in-sprint and end-to-end testing and maintain automated regression suites.
- Manage multiple initiatives within the business unit and potentially lead large programs end-to-end.
- Coach, train, mentor, and develop Quality Engineers.
- Evaluate team member performance and support their professional development toward T-shaped profiles.
- Onboard new team members and ensure awareness of available capabilities and standards.
- Manage the structure and people within the QE Community of Practice.
- Support HR with talent identification, recruitment, and hiring activities.
- Use tools, metrics, and data-driven decision making to provide direction to team members.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Quality Engineering principles, tools, and methodologies.
- Experience with:
- Test Automation
- Performance Testing
- CI/CD
- DevOps
- Strong knowledge of QE/QA practices and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience managing manual and automated regression packs.
- Experience developing and enforcing QE methodologies, standards, and work practices.
- Strong technical or business expertise within the relevant COP/domain.
- Experience in people management, including interviewing, hiring, and assessing personnel.
- Ability to work effectively across different organizational and business units.
Agile Experience
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Experience working as a practitioner in an Agile team, preferably in a leadership capacity.
