Proficient in using and interpreting data from quality core tools (PPAP, FMEA,
APQP, CP, SPC, MSA).
Expertise in handling measuring instruments, gauges, and calibration.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the quality assurance processes in the machine shop.
Ensure product compliance with machining and casting standards.
Implement and sustain quality core tools: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan,
SPC, MSA.
Handle Standard Room (STD) activities, including gauge planning and
calibration schedules.
Operate and analyse data using advanced measuring instruments including
CMM, Contour, and Surface Roughness equipment.
Conduct audits, identify quality gaps, and ensure closure with root cause
analysis and corrective action.
Apply 7 QC tools and problem-solving methodologies for internal and
customer complaints. Support TPM and Lean Manufacturing initiatives within the department.
Lead continuous improvement and Six Sigma projects (Green Belt preferred).
Prepare documentation and reports for customer and internal audits.
Coordinate and work closely with cross-functional teams including production,
maintenance, and engineering.Managerial Competencies:
Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Proactive leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Experience in working with American Axle or similar Tier 1 automotive
companies - preferred.
Exposure to diff-case machining - desirable.
