Job Description:

An Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) is a massive structural heat exchanger, often sitting high above the ground on steel pedestals. Because of the sheer scale and height of these units, the role of a Rigger is critical to both the construction and maintenance phases.

Here is a breakdown of what a Rigger does specifically within an ACC environment.

## Core Responsibilities

In an ACC project, a rigger isn't just moving boxes; they are handling delicate aluminum fin tubes, massive motor-fan assemblies, and heavy structural steel.

  • Lifting & Hoisting: Attaching loads to cranes or hoist systems using slings, shackles, cables, and chains.
  • Component Positioning: Precisely guiding the placement of A-frame bundles, steam headers, and motor bridges onto the main structure.
