We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Safety Officer to join our client's manufacturing and construction operations in Tarapur, Maharashtra. In this critical role, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of risk prevention across complex project sites.
Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety protocols tailored to both construction sites and industrial manufacturing environments.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety regulations and internal policies.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for workers and contractors to ensure a deep understanding of site-specific safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of safety metrics, accident logs, and compliance records.
- Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries, providing expert guidance to site management and project teams.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure that all machinery and work processes meet industrial and construction safety standards.
- Actively participate in the planning phases of projects to integrate safety measures from the outset.
- Education: Minimum of a Diploma in a relevant field such as Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related industrial discipline.
- Experience: Between 7 and 18 years of professional experience in safety management, with a proven background in both construction safety and industrial safety.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of safety legislation, risk assessment methodologies, and hazard control techniques.
- Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead safety initiatives in high-pressure environments.
- Communication: Professional proficiency in both written and verbal communication, capable of enforcing safety protocols with clarity and authority.
