<p>Job Title: Procurement & Estimation Lead Engineer</p><p>Location: TSAT Project, Jagiroad, Assam</p><p>Experience Required: 10-15 Years</p><p>Job Summary:</p><p>         We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Procurement & Estimation Lead Engineer to join our team in the semiconductor industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field, with strong expertise in mechanical package procurement and estimation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. </p><p>        This role requires a deep understanding of SITC basis procurement of Mechanical system packages including static equipment, rotary equipment, process equipment, process exhaust, cleanroom & HVAC system, chiller, piping package, water & HSD tank, water treatment plan, STP, EPT, and other related systems including design principles, applicable codes, and market pricing strategies. </p><p>        The idle candidate will work as Lead SCM engineer and collaborate with project managers, engineering team, execution team, cost consultant and clients to gather necessary information, analyse project requirements, and produce accurate cost estimations. Parrelally, shall and able to handle complete procurement cycle from RFQ to order placement including vendor evaluation, cost comparative preparation, negotiation, internal approval and order finalisation. The idle candidate’s analytical skills will be critical in assessing project risks and identifying opportunities for cost savings throughout the project lifecycle.</p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ol><li>Cost Estimation:<ul><li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for Mechanical projects, including materials, labour, and overhead costs.</li><li>Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop accurate estimates.</li></ul></li><li>Bid Preparation:<ul><li>Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop competitive bids for projects.</li><li>Ensure that all estimates are compliant with industry standards and client requirements.</li></ul></li><li>Supply Chain Management:<ul><li>Vendor Identification and capability evaluation</li><li>RFQ to Order Placement including CBE, negotiation, approvals, order placement</li><li>Should have deep knowledge and understanding of GCC, SCC and should be able to negotiate contractual T&C effectively with vendors</li></ul></li><li>Market Research:<ul><li>Conduct market research to identify current costs of materials, labour rates, and industry trends.</li><li>Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing.</li></ul></li><li>Value Engineering:<ul><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.</li><li>Suggest alternative materials or methods to reduce overall project costs.</li><li>Perform capitalization of losses for the equipment to get the operation cost during life cycle</li></ul></li><li>Project Management Support:<ul><li>Assist project managers in tracking costs and budget performance during project execution.</li><li>Provide support for change order requests by estimating the cost impacts of design changes or scope alterations.</li></ul></li><li>Documentation:<ul><li>Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.</li><li>Prepare reports and presentations for management and clients as needed.</li></ul></li><li>Collaboration:<ul><li>Work closely with engineering and construction teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in project planning.</li></ul></li></ol><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree / diploma in mechanical engineering.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in Mechanical systems engineering.</li><li>Proven experience in procurement & estimation and cost analysis.</li><li>Extensive experience in Mechanical package procurement, including vendor management and contract negotiation.</li><li>Extensive experience in handling of Switchyard package procurement and estimation. </li><li>Strong understanding of Mechanical systems and associated components</li><li>Must be proficiency in SAP MM, Ariba and advanced Excel skills.</li><li>Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and drawings.</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.</li><li>Attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Proficiency in relevant software and tools.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience with project management and coordination</li></ul><h3>experience</h3>20
