1) Role Description
The Quick Commerce Team Lead (TL) or Shift Incharge is a frontline supervisory role responsible for overseeing the efficient execution of daily operations during their assigned shift within a quick commerce delivery station (dark store/micro-fulfillment center). This role involves directly supervising a team of pickers and riders, ensuring timely order fulfillment, maintaining operational standards, and addressing immediate issues to ensure smooth workflow and high productivity. The TL/Shift Incharge reports to the Assistant Station Manager or Station Manager.
2) Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
1-2 years of experience in an operational role, preferably in retail, warehousing, logistics, or food delivery.
Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity is a strong advantage.
3) Job Requirement
Shift Supervision & Execution:
o Directly supervise a team of pickers, packers, and/or delivery riders during the assigned shift.
o Allocate tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members effectively.
o Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time according to SOPs.
o Monitor real-time order flow and address immediate operational bottlenecks or delays.
o Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and cleanliness standards within the station during the shift.
o Oversee the proper handling of inventory during receiving, stocking, and picking.
Team Guidance & Support:
o Provide clear instructions and guidance to team members.
o Offer on-the-job training and coaching to ensure adherence to operational best practices.
o Motivate the team to achieve daily targets and maintain high levels of productivity.
o Resolve minor conflicts or issues among team members during the shift.
o Act as the first point of contact for team members' operational queries and concerns. Operational Monitoring:
o Track key shift-level metrics such as picking speed, packing accuracy, and dispatch efficiency.
o Report any significant operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or inventory discrepancies to the Assistant Station Manager or Station Manager.
o Conduct regular checks to ensure product quality and accurate order preparation.
Resource Management (Shift Level):
o Assist in managing shift-level resources, including assigning equipment (e.g., scanners, trolleys).
o Ensure optimal utilization of available manpower during the shift.
Communication:
o Communicate effectively with team members, the Assistant Station Manager, and other relevant personnel.
o Provide shift handover reports detailing operational status, issues, and notable events.
Problem-Solving (Immediate):
o Ability to quickly identify and resolve immediate operational issues that arise during the shift.
o Make practical decisions to keep operations moving smoothly.
4) Preferred Requirement
Familiarity with basic warehouse management system (WMS) functionalities.
Experience in using handheld devices or mobile apps for order processing.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative.
Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy objects (if applicable to station operations).
Experience in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment.
