Previous exp must from which background: Experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, speech and hearing clinics, pediatric therapy centers, special education settings, or multidisciplinary healthcare environments preferred. Freshers with strong clinical aptitude and internship exposure may also be considered.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP/MASLP) from a recognized institution with valid RCI registration. Exposure or certification in Pediatric Speech Therapy, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Language Disorders, Voice Therapy, Fluency Disorders, Feeding & Swallowing Therapy, or Neurorehabilitation will be an added advantage.
Job Summary:
- To assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing therapy services for pediatric and adult patients across clinic, homecare, and ambulatory settings.
- The role involves evaluating communication disorders, developmental speech delays, articulation disorders, language impairments, stuttering, voice disorders, and feeding/swallowing difficulties while developing individualized therapy plans to improve communication outcomes and quality of life.
- The Speech Therapist is responsible for conducting standardized assessments, implementing therapy interventions, educating patients and caregivers, and ensuring continuity of care through regular monitoring and follow-up.
- The role also includes maintaining accurate digital documentation, coordinating with physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, special educators, and other allied healthcare professionals, while adhering to patient safety, quality standards, and organizational protocols.
Job Purpose:
- To support the development, restoration, and enhancement of communication, speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions through comprehensive assessment, individualized therapy planning, patient education, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- The role aims to improve functional outcomes, patient independence, and overall quality of life while maintaining clinical excellence and documentation compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing assessments
- Evaluate pediatric developmental speech and language disorders
- Assess and manage articulation, phonological, and communication difficulties
- Develop individualized therapy plans based on patient needs
- Deliver speech and language therapy interventions for pediatric and adult patients
- Manage conditions such as speech delay, stuttering, voice disorders, aphasia, dysarthria, and swallowing disorders
- Educate patients, parents, and caregivers regarding therapy goals and home programs
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as required
- Maintain accurate assessment reports, therapy notes, and digital documentation
- Coordinate with doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and special educators
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and rehabilitation planning
- Ensure adherence to patient safety, ethical standards, and quality protocols
