Education Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/ Automobile/ Electrical & Electronics/ Industrial engineering.
Required Work Experience
7 - 9 years of experience in process engineering and/or new product introduction in manufacturing,
preferably in Automotive field.

Should have the knowledge of automatic machines used for connector assembly, cable cutting and
stripping, uni-stripping, coax cables etc.
Should have good process knowledge of product transfers, New Product Introduction, product
qualifications e.g. PPAP, and new line set-ups.
Must be technically sound in developing jigs/fixtures/presses (toggle & pneumatic).
Must be proficient in takt time, cycle time and capacity/utilization calculations by means of
standard work measurement or time study.
Should have complete know-how of MTM, line balancing techniques and Value stream mapping
Good knowledge of PFMEA.
Good knowledge of BOMs, drawings, ECNs, PCNs.
Knowledge of AutoCAD or any other design software will be an added advantage
Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.
Good experience with IATF Standard.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Design, Develop, and optimize manufacturing processes of new automotive products (Cable
assemblies, Data connectors and High voltage products), ensuring compliance with automotive
industry standards.
Develop and implement process control plans, work instructions, and production procedures to
achieve high-quality output in agreement with the series process engineering team.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and production to ensure
manufacturability and process efficiency.
Conduct process validations, including PFMEA, capability studies, and statistical analysis.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process performance, reduce waste, and
improve productivity.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and relevant standards (e.g., IATF
16949, ISO 9001 and 14001, etc.).
Support the sample management with production of samples according to customer requirements
provided by the project manager and troubleshoot failures.
Coordinating with the process engineering team(operations) for production and assembly plan
with inputs from the project team (local and HQ) and interacting with the special purpose
machine/assembly line builders during the implementation phase.
Coordinating with Project Manager for the trigger of investments in the different stages of the
project.
