The Store/Warehouse In-charge is responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing space utilization, and ensuring compliance with safety and company policies
1.0 Principle Duties and Responsibilities. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records (raw materials, finished goods, consumables).
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO methods).
- Inward & Outward Operations
- Supervise receipt of materials and verify against purchase orders.
- Ensure proper documentation (GRN, delivery challans, invoices).
- Coordinate timely dispatch of goods as per delivery schedules.
- Warehouse Operations
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of materials.
- Optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Team Supervision
- Supervise warehouse staff, loaders, and helpers.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor performance.
- Ensure adherence to discipline and safety norms.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain all warehouse records and registers.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and finance teams.
