Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee daily workflow and schedules of the department.
Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
Execute plan vs. actual deliveries in coordination with suppliers and project
teams.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain
resources for effective supply chain operations.
Establish performance metrics for evaluating supply chain efficiency.
Develop and maintain detailed inventories of materials and supplies across
company sites and factories.
Ensure optimal supply levels to support production.
Analyze current inventories and procedures; recommend improvements for
efficiency and profitability.
Develop and implement policies to enhance supply chain efficiency while
ensuring quality and safety.
Identify optimal shipment and transportation routes, focusing on consolidation
of warehousing and distribution.
Assess material-handling equipment and staffing needs; recommend
improvements for efficient operations. Participate in product development committees, providing input on material
availability and costs.
Coordinate engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product
launches to ensure smooth transitions.
Monitor supplier performance, ensuring quality and delivery standards are
met.
Identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with proven vendor and supplier
relationship management.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar role.
Knowledge of steel fabrication and transportation of fabricated items.
Expertise in different types of steel and their applications.
Physical Requirements
Agility to frequently visit manufacturing premises and sites to maintain
experience
