Indirect Tax (GST, VAT/Sales Tax, Customs, etc.)
·Compliance & Filing: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and filing of all indirect tax returns and compliance forms across all relevant jurisdictions.
·Exemptions & Concessions: Ensure proper application of tax exemptions, credits, deductions, and concessional rates relevant to the food/dairy industry.
·Documentation: Maintain robust documentation, including tax invoices and exemption certificates, to support all indirect tax positions.
·Audit Management: Act as the primary point of contact for indirect tax audits, queries, and assessments from various tax bodies.
General Tax Management & Advisory
·Tax Research: Stay current with changes in tax legislation and regulations affecting the dairy/food industry and communicate the impact to the business to relevant stakeholders.
·Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to tax accounting and compliance processes, leveraging technology and SAP systems.
·Reconciliations: Ensure tax ledger accounts are reconciled accurately to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
Technical competences:
ü Qualification from – CA/CMA Fresher Or CA/CMA inter with 2- 4 years’ experience in a similar position
ü Knowledge of Excel and Word
ü Knowledge of SAP
Taxation Specialist Skills and Qualifications:
Ø Problem-solving skills – Possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations
Ø Accounting functions – A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is also crucial in this role
