The roles and responsibilities of a Manufacturing Engineer – Tool Engineering include, but are not limited to the following -
Design and develop the New or existing tools & fixtures to introduce either NPI or adding features on existing tools and equipment’s
On hand experience for drawing detailing for various manufacturing process feasibility to meet industry standards & global standards
Deep knowledge about 2D & 3D drawings, GD&T, model study, Ergo study
Capability to handle suppliers for manufacturing and On time delivery with right Quality
Design & develop automated equipment to make product assemblies. Development of Equipment starts from Design, prototype tooling & fixtures, execution and Prove out for mass production by applying engineering principles, Lean principles.
Monitor the quality of the tools developed at the manufacturer with design reviews and supplier quality checklists
Identify new and emerging tooling technologies and products, evaluate our potential requirement and introduce them to achieve our goals
Perform Audits and report out, driving improvement activities for process sustainability
Perform the inhouse manufacturing through Tool room and manage the day-to-day production plan
Co-ordinate with cross functional team to execute the Lean projects for sustainable Safety, Quality and Velocity results.
