Primary Accountabilities:
Payment processing: Apply cash, checks, electronic transfers to customer
accounts accurately and completely.
Process customer AR account maintenance requests received from the
Collections team.
Account reconciliation: Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all ...
payments are properly applied and that customer accounts are up-to-date and
accurate.
Discrepancy resolution: research and resolve unapplied cash, customer
discrepancies, bounced checks, and other payment or billing issues.
Communicate with supervisor regarding payment discrepancies or issues.
Review and take action on business intelligence outlier reports.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software, enterprise resource
planning (ERP) systems (SAP, Netsuite), and Microsoft Office Suite
(especially Excel).
Soft Skills: Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills,
attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a
fast-paced environment.
Knowledge: Understanding of general accounting principles and accounts
receivable processes.
Experience: Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with an
associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting often preferred. At least two
years of related experience is usually expected
