- Supervises a medium sized team of administrative staff. Focuses on work allocation, ongoing coaching, and performance management. Establishes and tracks employee goals and objectives.
Contributes to hiring, firing, and compensation decisions
- Manages vendors and/or suppliers/contracts, ensuring consistent service delivery and performance. Collaborates with procurement and legal on contract negotiations • Coordinates multiple related administrative areas, ensuring all environments are safe, well-maintained, and fully stocked. Coordinates repair and replacement of equipment across multiple locations • Develops and updates policies and procedures for own area. Proposes enhancements to improve team/department performance. Collects and analyzes feedback from internal customers to assess service quality • Manages team finances including budget setting and expense management for the own team. Analyzes department activities and reports to senior management as requested Grade Descriptor • Good understanding of procedures and concepts within own discipline and knowledge of these elements in other disciplines • Provides management and operational oversight to large and/or moderately complex business or technical support team members, potentially including work leaders • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors/team leaders • Responsible for end results of the team • Provides input on resource planning, guidelines, processes and procedures • Solves problems guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance from manager
