Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and certified Blade Engineer to ensure the long-term integrity and reliability of our wind turbine blades. Based in Mulanur, you will be responsible for conducting meticulous blade inspections, defining repair scopes, and overseeing execution to ensure full compliance with Nordex Acciona standards. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, rigorous quality assurance, and proactive team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection, Repair, and Quality Assurance
Conduct thorough blade inspection and repair evaluations in strict compliance with Nordex Acciona quality standards.
Provide remote and on-site technical support for projects, including blade condition assessment, precise repair scope definition, and execution assistance.
Oversee all blade inspection and repair activities, ensuring exceptional quality and strict adherence to technical specifications and procedures.
Offer technical guidance in defining repair materials, managing material inventory levels, and maintaining blade repair tooling.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting of blade status, inspection findings, and repair outcomes.
Reporting, Collaboration, and Standards
Ensure daily reporting of work progress and accurate time tracking for all blade inspection, repair, and retrofit campaigns.
Prepare and review blade inspection and repair reports in alignment with Nordex Acciona standards.
Collaborate with the global blade service function to develop and standardize inspection and repair guides worldwide.
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders—including local teams, global support, and functional departments—to promote a collaborative and effective service environment.
Enable swift and effective responses to customer needs, blade reliability concerns, and turbine availability targets.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education and Training
Qualification: B.E. / Diploma or similar Technical Degree / ITI qualification.
Mandatory Certification: Possession of IRATA Level 1, Anettva OFI, or an equivalent certification is mandatory.
Complementary Training (Highly Valued): Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP, and specific GWO blade-related training (Blade B or similar).
Professional Experience and Skills
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of demonstrable experience in similar roles, preferably within the wind energy or blade services sector.
Technical Aptitude:
Proven hands-on experience in structural blade repairs is highly valued.
Strong ability to interpret repair procedures and accurately define required materials.
