    Key Responsibilities

    Category Strategy & Business Growth
     Develop long-term strategy for the F&V category. ...
     Drive sales growth, category profitability, and market share.
     Define assortment planning, seasonal range, SKU mix, and pricing strategy.
     Identify growth opportunities in local sourcing, imports.

    Procurement & Sourcing
     Build and manage a national sourcing network of farmers, mandis and suppliers.
     Develop direct farmer sourcing programs and collection centers.
     Negotiate long-term vendor contracts to ensure cost efficiency.
     Track crop cycles, regional production belts, and seasonal availability.
     Ensure continuous supply through direct store delivery, distribution centers, and mandis.

    Supply Chain & Operations
     Manage end-to-end farm-to-store supply chain operations.
     Implement cold chain and logistics optimization to minimize wastage.
     Ensure seamless flow from sourcing locations to distribution centers and stores.
     Monitor logistics cost, fill rate, and stock availability.
    Quality & Freshness Management
     Implement quality standards for grading, sorting, packaging, and storage.
     Ensure freshness, food safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
     Monitor shrinkage, wastage, and handling losses.

    Vendor & Farmer Relationship Management
     Build strategic partnerships with farmers, FPOs, and aggregators.
     Develop vendor performance metrics and supplier development programs.
     Conduct farmer training programs and increase direct procurement share.

    Financial & Performance Management
     Own P&L responsibility for F&V category. Monitor category KPIs such as:
    •  Sales growth
    •  Gross margin
    • Wastage %
    • Fill rate
    • Procurement cost
    • Vendor performance
    • Review weekly category performance and demand forecasts.
    • Team Leadership
       
    • Lead large cross-functional teams including:
    • Procurement managers
    •  Category managers
