Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3+ years of post-qualification experience to play a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, managing timely monthly closures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting both routine financial reporting and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, excellent team supervision abilities, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Operations
- Financial Review: Conduct a thorough monthly review of the books of accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and maintenance of high accounting hygiene standards.
- Monthly Closure: Supervise and guide the finance team in monthly closure activities, ensuring all necessary entries and reconciliations are completed, and the books are closed accurately by the 5th of every month.
- Compliance: Ensure the company's financial records and reporting adhere to applicable accounting pronouncements and standards, working closely under the guidance of the Finance Head.
Reporting and Audit Management
- Financial Statement Support: Collaborate with the Finance Head to support the preparation of quarterly financial statements and reporting packages.
- Statutory Audit: Act as a key point of contact for statutory auditors, interacting with them on a monthly/quarterly basis to provide necessary documentation, explanations, and timely attend to all audit-related requirements.
Tax and Regulatory Compliance
- Tax Coordination: Coordinate effectively with external consultants for the timely and accurate filing of all direct and and indirect tax returns, ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory compliances.
Strategic and Ad-Hoc Support
- Team Leadership: Provide supervision, guidance, and mentorship to junior members of the finance team.
- Strategic Initiatives: Provide crucial support to the CFO and Finance Head on various strategic projects and ad-hoc requirements aimed at process improvement, financial planning, or business analysis.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: 3+years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong command of accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS/IFRS/AS) and excellent understanding of direct and indirect tax compliance requirements.
- Operational Skills: Proven ability to manage and execute the monthly financial close process efficiently and accurately.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with team members, senior management, auditors, and consultants.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to supervise and guide a team.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in [Specify Accounting Software, e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally] and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
