Key Responsibilities
- Structural Design & Analysis
- Develop structural systems (beams, columns, foundations, retaining walls) using software (AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and manual calculations
- Perform load, stress, seismic, wind, and environmental analyses to ensure structural stability .
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure designs meet building codes and standards (IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE, local regulations)
- Conduct site inspections and supervise construction compliance with design and safety specifications
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, technical reports, and specifications .
- Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, contractors, and clients to align structural requirements with project goals
- Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and present technical recommendations .
- Risk Management & Technical Support
- Identify structural risks; propose mitigation strategies and perform retrofitting analysis for existing structures
