Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deputy Manager - Finance professional. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a range of financial activities, with a primary focus on income accounting, collections, and compliance with various regulatory requirements. This role requires a professional with strong analytical skills, a process-oriented mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (KRAs)
As the Deputy Manager - Finance, you will be a Responsible (R) party for the following key areas, each with an assigned weightage:
Income & Accounts Receivable Management : You will be responsible for handling all income-related activities. This includes raising, verifying, and accounting for invoices, as well as performing regular ledger scrutiny to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Member Exchange Dues & Collections : You will manage the processing and accounting of member exchange dues and collections. This includes tracking receivables and conducting follow-ups to ensure the timely collection of outstanding payments.
Bank Correspondence & Reconciliations : You will handle all bank-related correspondence and perform periodic bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are consistent with bank statements.
Tax & Payment Processing: You will be responsible for 26AS-related reconciliations and processing payments to members. This includes ensuring compliance with TDS and other relevant tax regulations.
Regulatory Compliance : You will monitor and ensure compliance with various regulatory requirements set by SEBI, including managing SEBI turnover fees, the Investor Service Fund, and the transfer of penalties and contributions to the Investor Protection Fund.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification: A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or a CA Inter with 3-4 years of relevant experience.
Experience: 5-10 years in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the Securites and stock exchange industry.
Functional Competencies: Proven experience in income accounting and collection, as well as a strong understanding of compliance with various regulatory requirements of SEBI, TDS, and GST.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.
Behavioral Skills: The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, be highly analytical, and maintain a strong process-oriented approach to their work.
