Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis:
Lead investigations into quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with suppliers. Utilize tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Pareto analysis to resolve problems effectively.
Supplier Development:
Work with suppliers to improve their manufacturing processes, focusing on process control, statistical process control (SPC), and other quality tools to reduce variability and improve product quality.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure that all supplier quality documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with internal quality systems and regulatory requirements. Maintain records of supplier performance, audit results, and corrective actions taken.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and logistics, to ensure quality expectations are met throughout the entire supply chain.
Performance Metrics:
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supplier quality, including defect rates, on-time delivery, and quality improvement progress. Provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
