Role Summary<br /> To support the Plant and Corporate EHS leadership in implementing, monitoring, and continuously<br />improving Environment, Health & Safety management systems, ensuring compliance with statutory<br />requirements, prevention of incidents, promotion of a strong safety culture, and achievement of sustainability<br />goals.<br /> Primary Responsibilities<br /> • Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS policies, procedures, and systems<br />across the plant.<br />• Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify gaps and drive corrective<br />actions.<br />• Ensure timely submission and adherence to all statutory EHS compliances (Factory Act, Environment,<br />Fire, etc.).<br />• Coordinate environmental monitoring activities (air, water, noise, waste management) and ensure<br />compliance with limits.<br />• Maintain and periodically review the Plant Emergency Management System, including emergency<br />preparedness plans, mock drills, and emergency equipment readiness.<br />• Lead or support incident/near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and closure of corrective and<br />preventive actions.<br />• Drive implementation and continual improvement of EHS Management Systems (HIRA, AIA, SOPs,<br />MPs, EMPs).<br />• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification, audits, and management system documentation.<br />• Plan and conduct EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.<br />• Organize and promote EHS awareness initiatives such as Safety Month, Environment Month, Safety<br />Committee Meetings, and campaigns.<br />• Monitor contractor safety and ensure compliance with company EHS standards.<br />• Initiatives of sustainability related to energy conservation, waste reduction, water management, and<br />ESG goals.<br />• Prepare EHS reports, KPIs, dashboards, and presentations for management review.<br />• Act as a role model for safe behavior and promote a strong safety culture across the organization.<br /><br />Minimum Education<br />• Govt. approved safety diploma/RLI<br />Essential M.Sc. Project Safety:<br /> Evaluate safety requirements during the execution of new projects or pilot trials<br />at customer sites.<br /> Coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure risk assessments (HIRA,<br />JSA) are conducted before job commencement.<br /><br />3.
