Role Summary:
The Electrical Design Solutions Engineer – Presales will develop electrical designs and
proposals for data center projects. This role supports the presales process with concept
designs, capacity planning, and solution optimization, ensuring alignment with client
needs and compliance standards. The position interfaces with sales, engineering, and
project teams to deliver technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Technical Presales
• Prepare SLDs, load calculations, power distribution architecture, and fault level
analysis.
• Design solutions for MV/LV systems, UPS, DG, transformers, STS/ATS, grounding,
and lighting.
• Ensure electrical designs align with Tier certification requirements and business
goals.
Client Engagement
• Support client discussions, technical clarifications, and proposal walkthroughs.
• Address queries related to electrical architecture, resilience, and safety
considerations.
Design Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NBC, TIA-942, Uptime Institute, and local
regulations.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and design documentation for RFP
submissions.
• Review product datasheets, vendor offers, and system integration feasibility.
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, and Automation teams to integrate electrical
systems effectively.
• Engage procurement and project teams for BOM validation and execution
feasibility.
Innovation & Industry Trends
• Incorporate latest technologies such as busduct systems, modular power skids,
and energy monitoring systems.
• Promote use of sustainable and high-efficiency electrical equipment.

Skills & Competencies:
• Proficiency in design software (ETAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux)
• In-depth understanding of electrical power systems in mission-critical
environments
• Familiarity with load planning for Hyperscale, Colocation, and Edge data centers
• Strong analytical, presentation, and stakeholder coordination skills
• Commercial and execution awareness
