Roles and Responsibilities:
- Able to prepare the master deliverable list for the Pre-FEED/Feed/Proposal Engineering and work with project team to finalize the schedule of project.
- Pre-FEED/Feed Engineering involves designing complex Electrical system for On-Shore process plants based on SLB specifications and international standards
- Develop specifications as per the product needs.
- Knowledge on BESS is must
- Capable of designing HV/MV substations, Turbine-generator synchronization is must
- Shall have sound knowledge in Design/Engineering, Installation and commissioning phase of largescale projects. Knowledge of designing HV/MV/LV substations is a must.
- Shall have sound knowledge in IEEE, IEC, NEMA and other international standards.
- Able to provide cost estimates for Electrical systems, MTOs, Man hours estimate to execute the projects in line with contractual and scope of supply requirements.
- Able to identify the potential cost impact area and provide the appropriate techno commercial solution.
- Shall have the capability to monitor, control and report the progress of Engineering in line with the project schedule.
- Shall be able to adopt company procedures, quality requirements and concurrent Engineering work environment.
- Able to assess various Electrical loads in large scale process plants and prepare Electrical load list.
- Able to develop Electrical design basis, operating philosophy and specification for all Electrical Equipment in compliance with international codes and standards.
- Shall have sound knowledge in Electrical Power system study software’s like ETAP/EDSA/Dialux and able to perform Load flow analysis, short circuit studies, transient stability studies, Harmonic analysis, motor starting study, relay co-ordination study and provide relay setting calculation.
- Able to perform Equipment sizing calculations such as generators, transformer, LV/MV/HV switchgears and UPS and prepare or provide inputs for Single Line Diagram.
- Shall have sound knowledge in E-House Engineering and able to design Equipment layout and switch board schedule.
- Shall be able to perform Hazardous Area Classification study according to IEC standards
- Able to prepare technical requisition, evaluate vendor quotes, Provide recommendation to Procurement for Electrical equipment.
- Able to participate Electrical Panel FAT and SAFOP
- Able to perform plant detail Engineering activities including lighting study, Earthing and lightning study, cable sizing, cable tray routing plaining and provide necessary inputs to design for layout preparation
- Strong ability to train, coach and guide younger engineers in the team and able to lead a team of electrical engineers on larger scale projects
- Shall have knowledge in 3D model review using Navisworks and provide inputs to design team
- Able to support site / fabricator/contractor for construction and commissioning activities at various site locations and provide solution for technical related queries during construction/commissioning.
- Able to handle contractual requirements and raise MOC. 25.Shall have awareness to BESS designs for process plants
Qualifications and Experience:
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics Engineering.
- Experience with reputed global EPC and large-scale projects
- Familiar with Detail Engineering work flow.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple requests.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively function in a team environment.
- Ability to travel to meet with clients, vendors or to provide site support
- High energy and the flexibility to perform under short time constraints to meet deadlines
Expertise:
- Highly motivated, eager to contribute to the establishment of an effective and efficient design/ drafting team.
- Ability to use engineering judgment and experience to enable early designs to progress efficiently.
- Ability to coordinate, work and understand process, structural, electrical, Structural and instrumentation disciplines.
- Ability to effectively utilize MS Office applications.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbal and written
- Basic knowledge on Instrumentation/Control system is an added advantage
