Job Summary:

The Emergency Medical Services Officer (EMSO) is responsible for coordinating

and managing emergency medical services operations within a designated area as part of the 108-emergency team. This role involves overseeing the delivery of emergency medical care, ensuring compliance with protocols and standards, and supporting the EMS team in providing efficient and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely dispatch and effective service delivery for all emergency calls
• Deploy ambulances, staff, and medical equipment based on need and urgency
• Coordinate with 108 control room, supervisors, and hospitals
• Ensure adherence to state protocols, clinical guidelines, and medical ethics
• Conduct regular training and refresher programs for EMTs and paramedics
• Encourage continuous learning and skill improvement within the EMS teams
• Develop response strategies for mass casualty incidents and disaster scenarios
• Organize mock drills, simulations, and coordinated responses
• Maintain accurate logs of EMS activities, dispatches, patient transfers, and incidents

Qualifications:

• BUMS/BAMS Only.
• Valid certification as an EMT/Paramedic
• Registered under Maharashtra Medical Council for ALS/BLS/BOAT roles
