The role of Mechanical / Structural Designer is to support the Engineers and Engineering<br />Manager in providing drawings and equipment BOM as per customer requirements<br />independently.<br />The Mechanical / Structural Designer will support the service personnel in solving problems by<br />simulating the problems in drawings. The Mechanical / Structural Designer will be able to work<br />on simple Engineering Work Request and comply with all departmental Work Instructions and<br />Engineering Standards.<br />The Mechanical / Structural Designer will be responsible for creating, checking and approving<br />drawings / designs; interface communication, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, efficiency,<br />and safety of the mechanical, piping, and structural scopes of work for Hyperscale Data Center<br />Modules meets customer’s requirements and Industrial Standards they produce.<br />The Mechanical / Structural Designer is expected to resolve problems by identifying and selecting<br />solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and analysis of factual<br />information.<br />Roles and<br />Responsibilities<br /><br />The Designer will support the goals and programs established by the management team. These<br />roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:<br /> Provide and check drawings / BOM as per customer requirements.<br /> Prepare bulk MTOs (Material Take Offs) and detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials) with no<br />supervision from Engineer.<br /> Ensure drawings follow the Engineering and quality standards set by the leads.<br /> Prepare layout drawings to customer to present the proposed equipment and the<br />function of the equipment.<br /> Prepare and complete various Mechanical, Piping, Structural deliverable drawings and<br />documents such as layout/general arrangements, piping isometrics, piping<br />schedule, piping tie-point/ interface drawings, piping insulation details, structural general<br />arrangement drawings, structural weld details /notes, structural connection detail<br />drawings, foundation support details, equipment mounting / support details, pipe support<br />details, weight / COG reports, manual valve list, HVAC ducting, instrumentation, flow<br />diagrams, Process and Instrument Diagrams, pump alignment drawings, handrails /<br />ladders, walkways, and stairs as per OSHA, platform and grating detailed drawings, etc.<br /> Help in solving problems by simulating the problems in drawings.<br /> Prepare sequence drawing and procedure for Factory Acceptance Test.<br /> Prepare and compile installation procedure for submission to customer.<br /> Supervise the outsourcing of engineering design work to 3rd party engineering / design<br />firms when needed.<br /> Review, as required, vendor data and drawings to ensure compliance with client<br />specifications or applicable standards.<br />POSITION DESCRIPTION<br /><br /> Produce report data from models and assist in providing necessary design information to<br />Project/Client/Third Party, as required.<br /> Provide and document “Lessons learned” feedback and utilize findings from the process<br />to update tools a nd procedures.<h3>experience</h3>20
