We are looking for Suprevisor – Instrumentation to join our team in our Vadodara office. In this
position, you will be involved in maintenance and projects. This includes but is not limited to the
selection of field Instruments, control systems and automation systems as per the plant requirement. ...
You will be involved in energy conservation projects and automation projects.
1. Roles and Responsibilities
Facilitating detailed specifications of all types of field instruments (level, flow, pressure,
temperature, weighing) and preparing tender specifications, which are essential for procuring
electrical items for projects or running plants.
Facilitating site execution activities involving erection & commissioning of field Instruments,
PLC, DCS and control systems etc.
Initiatives to reduce Instrument maintenance cost with inhouse repairing and calibration.
Ensure implementation of Calibration and preventive maintenance schedule of Instruments
and control systems.
Hands on experience of maintenance of Field Instruments, weighing systems PLC, DCS and
automation systems.
Compliance of statutory and mandatory requirements related to Instrumentation.
Compliance of safety audits and help electrical team to implement energy saving projects.
Testing of control and automation systems prior to installation at site.
Ensuring effective site management and discipline to ensure safe & timely execution of the
projects.
Installing and commissioning of equipment’s, followed by plant trial runs meeting targeted
performance / quality & quantity parameters and thereafter handing over of the plant.
2. Safety & Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to LOTOTO (Lockout–Tagout–Tryout) procedures
Implement permit-to-work systems: Hot Work, Confined Space, Height Work
Promote and enforce safe work practices for internal teams and contractors Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations
3. Piping & Projects
Supervise field instrument and control system installation, and commissioning jobs
Read and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and electrical drawings
Provide support during shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning
4. System Knowledge & Documentation
Proficient in using SAP for maintenance logging and spare tracking
Maintain detailed maintenance records, equipment downtime logs, and RCA reports
5. Team & Contractor Management
Supervise and guide a team of Instrument technician and contractor.
Ensure timely execution of work with high safety and quality standards.
Coordinate effectively with Production, EHS, and other departments.
Productivity Date
This new hire needs to be fully productive within 3 months after joining.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following professional assets:
● Education:
○ Degree Level: Graduation in Instrumentation Engineering
○ Field of Study: Instrumentation Engineering
● Previous Experience:
○ 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation engineering in chemical or
Petro chemical units
● Domain Knowledge:
○ Sound knowledge in the area of Instrumentation systems, legal statutory and
mandatory requirements
○ Familiarity with utilities such as air compressors, thermic fluid systems, cooling
towers, and chillers
● Competencies/Skills:
○ Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance best practices
○ Knowledge of safety systems including LOTOTO and permit-based work
○ Capable of leading teams and coordinating with cross-functional departments
○ SAP maintenance module experience preferred
