Job Summary
The Senior Executive – Export Logistics will be responsible for managing end-to-end export logistics operations for chemical products, ensuring timely and compliant international shipments. The role involves coordination with production, documentation, shipping lines, CHA, and regulatory authorities while adhering to safety and compliance standards specific to the chemical industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Export Planning & Coordination
...Plan and execute export shipments based on production schedules and customer delivery timelines.
Coordinate with production, QA, and warehouse teams for material readiness.
Ensure proper packaging and labeling as per export and chemical safety standards.
2. Export Documentation
Prepare and verify export documents such as:
Commercial Invoice
Packing List
Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
Certificate of Origin
MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
Insurance documents
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and documentation accuracy.
3. Logistics & Shipment Handling
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters.
Book shipments (sea/air) and track movement until delivery.
Manage container planning, stuffing, and dispatch.
4. Regulatory & Compliance
Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs requirements, and DGFT guidelines.
Handle hazardous goods (if applicable) as per international safety norms (IMDG/IATA).
Liaise with CHA (Custom House Agent) for customs clearance.
5. Cost Management
Negotiate freight rates with logistics vendors.
Monitor logistics costs and optimize shipping expenses.
Prepare cost analysis reports for management review.
6. Coordination & Communication
Communicate with international customers regarding shipment schedules and updates.
Coordinate with internal departments (Accounts, Production, QA, Stores).
Resolve shipment delays and logistics-related issues.
7. MIS & Reporting
Maintain export records and shipment data.
Generate MIS reports on dispatch status, delays, and cost analysis.
Ensure proper documentation filing for audits and compliance.
