 Title: Hardware Test Leader

 EducaƟonal QualificaƟons: B.E. / B Tech /M Tech with Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation.

 Experience: Minimum 10-14 years of experience in Electronics Hardware development/TesƟng in the automoƟve industry

 Location: Bengaluru India Technical Center

Job Purpose:

 As an experienced Hardware Test Lead, you will be involved in the verificaƟon and qualificaƟon of Power Electronics Hardware design for Electronic Turbochargers and Electronic Boosters.

 Be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development and testing teams working on projects involving multiple locations. Keep abreast of the latest advancements in electronics testing, verification technologies, and industry trends. Proactively implement best practices and cutting-edge techniques to maintain our competitive edge.

Key ResponsibiliƟes:

 Leading a team of Hardware test engineers and responsible for project deliverables and customer saƟsfacƟon - Test plan/strategies definiƟon, Test Planning, EsƟmaƟng, Risks, meeƟng Quality, Customer commitments & meeƟng compliance standards.

 Responsible for co-ordinaƟng the scope of tesƟng, aligning tesƟng prioriƟes & Ɵmelines, communicaƟng the test results with Global Teams.

 Leading the team for performing circuit design analysis, and tesƟng/validaƟon of Hardware circuits for funcƟonality and performance under varying condiƟons, tesƟng & debugging complex power electronics, PCB level tesƟng and diagnose circuit board failures.

 Reviewing and supporƟng the approval of test input documents, such as module descripƟon documents, architectures, and requirements.

 ParƟcipate in design reviews, requirement reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs.

 Planning and defining work packages according to agile project management methods such as Scrum/Kanban in JIRA - Responsible to ensure all funcƟon blocks are defined and tested - both in a standalone and integrated context.  Generate the test reports (coverage, results, test insights and failure trends ...) and present to internal and external customers/Cross funcƟonal teams. Maintain detailed and traceable documentation including test plans, procedures, test reports, and compliance data.

 Planning (schedules/resources) and coordinaƟng work packages within the test team in the project.  Seƫng up and maintaining project-specific Hardware test infrastructure including Hardware equipment test tools and electronic components required.

 Failure Analysis & ConƟnuous Improvement: Lead structured root cause analysis (RCA) for failures from lab, field, or  customer feedback, Drive iniƟaƟves for test process improvement and product reliability enhancement.  Preparing and conducƟng technical and project-specific training for testers.

Work Experience/Skills:

 Good Experience in Leading a team of Hardware test engineers and has hands-on with Electronics Test team management.

 Very good working knowledge of verificaƟon of Power Electronics Hardware in the automoƟve sector, power electronic theories, circuit design, and measurement techniques.

 Experience with tesƟng of mixed signals electronics designs, power switching circuits in AutomoƟve Embedded Power Electronics Hardware.

 Hands-on experience in tesƟng & debugging complex power electronics, PCB level tesƟng and diagnose circuit board failures. Strong abiliƟes to Interpret schemaƟcs/requirements/data sheets, comprehend PCB layout of inverter stages, transceivers, microcontrollers, power modules (with IGBT, MOSFET etc), Pre-drivers etc. and interpret the design calculaƟons and applying various tesƟng methodologies.

 Strong knowledge of converter/inverter topologies (AC-DC, DC-DC, motor controls).

 Strong knowledge of Electronics tesƟng tools such as FuncƟon/ signal generators, Oscilloscope, Climate chamber, power supplies. Familiarity with AlƟum and SimulaƟon tools with be desirable.

 Good Experience working in a High Voltage lab environment & handling high voltage instruments, board tesƟng, board bring up etc & know-how of using Vector CAN tools like CANape, CANOe will be advantage.

 Very good working Knowledge on requirement, Change & defect management tools like Polarion, JIRA, quality compliance measures such as reviews, AutomoƟve SPICE.

 Familiarity with compliance and safety standards (like IEC, AIS, ISO)

 Detail-oriented with a high standard for documentaƟon and test setup quality.

 Possesses sharp analyƟcal skills, excellent problem-solving abiliƟes, and meƟculous aƩenƟon to detail.  Strong interpersonal skills, high intercultural social competence, good verbal and wriƩen communicaƟon skills.
