1. Job Purpose
To oversee and manage all personnel and administrative functions related to workmen, including attendance management, contractual workforce coordination, payroll inputs, statutory compliance, and liaison with the Head Office for timely execution of plant-level HR/Admin processes.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Workmen & Contract Labour Management
- Ensure accurate maintenance of daily attendance records for workmen and contract labour.
- Handle overtime (OT) calculations and maintain proper OT registers and approvals.
- Collect and validate monthly salary inputs for contract labourers (CLs) and submit to HO payroll.
- Address workmen grievances in coordination with the HRBP or Factory HR Head.
B. Statutory Compliance
- Maintain full compliance with all labour laws and factory-related acts including:
- Factories Act, 1948
- ESIC, PF, PT, LWF & Bonus Act
- Contract Labour Regulation & Abolition (CLRA) Act
- Shops & Establishment Act (if applicable)
- Ensure timely submission of returns and remittances to statutory authorities.
- Handle labour inspections, maintain registers (Form A to Form M, Muster Rolls, Wage Registers, etc.).
- Coordinate with consultants/auditors for audits and ensure zero non-compliance.
C. Coordination with Head Office
- Submit monthly data to Head Office for payroll processing, compliance reporting, and internal audits.
- Maintain proper communication for HRMS updates, new contract approvals, and other administrative needs.
D. General Administration
- Supervise contract manpower for housekeeping, security, pantry, etc.
- Maintain discipline on the shopfloor and support time-office activities.
- Monitor ID card issuance, uniform distribution, and welfare activities at the plant.
3. Desired Candidate Profile
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate (preferred in HR/Industrial Relations/Labour Law)
- Experience: 3–7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing plant environment
- Skills:
- Hands-on experience with labour law compliance and statutory filings
- Knowledge of time office software or manual attendance systems
- Exposure to handling contractor workforce and vendor compliance
- Strong documentation and register maintenance
- Proficient in Excel and basic payroll coordination
