Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Installation Technician to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the on-site assembly, installation, testing, and commissioning of our [Insert Product/System Name, e.g., HVAC units / Security Systems / Solar Panels / Industrial Machinery].
With 1 to 4 years of experience, you should have an excellent grasp of technical drawings, standard hand and power tools, and basic troubleshooting. This role requires traveling to customer or site locations and delivering high-quality, safe execution.
Key Responsibilities
On-site Installation: Assemble, position, and install equipment or systems according to layouts, engineering drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
Testing & Commissioning: Conduct initial test runs and performance checks post-installation to ensure systems operate safely and correctly.
Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints, electrical wiring schematics, and mechanical diagrams accurately.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose, isolate, and repair unexpected technical glitches or mechanical alignment issues during assembly and setup.
Maintenance & Support: Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic on-site repair jobs for existing client equipment.
Customer Interaction: Provide a brief operational demo or basic user instructions to customers/clients upon successful handover.
Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to company and industrial safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Reporting: Maintain logs, service tokens, and daily installation completion reports for the supervisor.
