Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented KYC Analyst to join our dynamic compliance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) framework. This position is responsible for conducting thorough due diligence on new and existing clients, ensuring strict adherence to global regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to investigation, and the ability to work collaboratively with global teams to mitigate compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities
Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on new and existing clients in accordance with internal policies and global regulatory requirements.
Risk Assessment: Analyze client data, documentation, and transaction patterns to accurately assess potential risks, including political exposure, sanctions affiliation, and adverse media.
Investigation & Escalation: Perform in-depth investigations into alerts and high-risk activities. Prepare and escalate clear, concise, and well-documented reports on suspicious findings with sound justification to senior compliance officers.
Compliance Tools: Effectively operate and leverage internal AML/KYC systems, as well as third-party vendor platforms (e.g., World-Check, LexisNexis, Dow Jones) for screening, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring.
Regulatory Adherence: Stay current with evolving AML/CTF regulations and industry best practices to support the continuous improvement of the firm's compliance processes.
Audit & Reporting: Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by ensuring all KYC files are accurate, complete, and readily available for review. Contribute to the generation of compliance reports as required.
Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate effectively with global compliance, risk management, and business teams to ensure a consistent and effective application of KYC/AML standards across all jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
2-5 years of direct experience in a KYC/AML/CDD role, preferably within the financial services or FinTech industry.
Strong understanding of fundamental AML, CTF, and Sanctions regulations (e.g., FATF recommendations, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.).
Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Proficiency in using compliance databases and screening tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High ethical standards and a strong sense of integrity.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) or equivalent.
Experience working with international clients and cross-border regulatory frameworks.
