lab director

- MD Pathology or a suitably qualified senior Biochemist with the required laboratory experience and credentials
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Prior experience managing both the medical and administrative aspects of laboratory operations
- Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems, reporting, accreditation, compliance, and clinical governance
- Proven experience handling complex laboratory problems, quality incidents, audits, and corrective actions
- Strong analytical ability and willingness to investigate issues in depth, rather than only reviewing or signing reports
- Ability to lead senior doctors, laboratory managers, and technical teams across multiple locations
- Strong judgment, communication, people management, and decision-making skills
- Comfortable collaborating with operations, technology, customer service, finance, procurement, and senior management
- Must be hands-on, accountable, and willing to take ownership beyond routine medical authorization
