Key Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Services
● Collect, process, and analyse biological samples (blood, urine, sputum, tissue, etc.).
● Perform routine and specialized tests in haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, and
clinical pathology.
● Ensure accurate documentation and timely release of laboratory results.
● Assist in sample preparation for histopathology and cytology2. Patient Care & Safety
● Ensure correct patient identification and proper sample labelling.
● Follow biosafety, infection control, and universal precautions always.
● Handle hazardous materials and biomedical waste as per guidelines.
● Maintain patient confidentiality and ethical standards3. Equipment & Resource Management
● Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (analysers, centrifuges, microscopes,
etc.).
● Perform calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
● Maintain inventory of consumables and ensure optimal utilization of resources4. Quality & Compliance
● Adhere to NABL/NABH/ISO standards and laboratory SOPs.
