• Evaluate and approve suppliers based on technical capability, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
• Conductsupplier audits and assessments to ensure adherence to company quality requirements.
• Monitorsupplier performance through quality rating, rejection analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with suppliersto resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support vendor development and qualification for critical crane components
• Handling customer or Third party inspection at supplier sites
• Establish Min Quality requirementsthru QAP and to ensure align the suppliers on Quality requirements
Incoming (Inward) Quality Inspection
• Ensure all incoming materials and bought out components are inspected as per inspection plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Verify material test certificates (MTC), dimensional accuracy, and technicalspecifications.
• Maintain incoming inspection records and reports.
• Identify and control non-conforming materials throughNCR processes.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for defective incoming materials
• Coordinate with suppliersfor replacement,rework, or corrective action.
• Conduct root cause analysis and preventive action implementation
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and crane components
• Understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes
• Knowledge of quality control tools and inspection techniques
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Leadership and team management ability
• Familiarity with ISO quality systems
• Handling the Third party/Customer inspection (NTPC etc.) is preferable
