To support and execute mechanical design activities with strong CAD expertise, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with engineering standards, manufacturing feasibility, and organizational quality requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using CAD tools (3DX CATIA preferred / Creo / Inventor).
- Apply GD&T principles effectively in design and detailing.
- Ensure adherence to quality procedures, standards, and engineering guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design validation and manufacturability.
- Incorporate knowledge of casting, machining processes, and material selection during design.
- Support design reviews and ensure compliance with international standards (ISO, BS, EN, etc.).
- Understand and integrate mechanical elements such as bearings, gears, and standard components into designs.
- Maintain design documentation and ensure traceability as per project requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies:Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in CAD tools:
- 3DX CATIA (Preferred) / Creo / Inventor
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Good knowledge of:
- Manufacturing processes - casting & machining
- Mechanical components - bearings, gears, etc.
- Engineering standards - ISO, BS, EN
