    Roles and Responsibilities:

    The Engineer will support the goals and programs established by the management team. These roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Monitor and assess engineering performance, quality and provide feedback for improvement.
    • Assess team skills/competencies and create individual development plans.
    •  Monitor resource loading and develop action plans for staffing as required.
    • Review and update practices, procedures and forms required for engineering execution.
    •  Rollout out new engineering processes and software. Review and improve the existing process and system
    • Check, approve and validate engineering deliverables for proposals and projects. •
    • Participate in 3D model, HAZOP review and other design review meetings as required.
    • Participate in client meetings as required to provide technical input and execution guidance
    • Undertake root cause analysis and provide reports to non-conformances identified on projects
    • Assist with recruitment and undertake interviews as required.
    • Review of third-party engineering company competencies.
    • Review and approve manhours estimation and review of scope matrix / technical clarifications prepared by discipline engineers.
    • Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry codes and client specification requirements.
    • Guide the team on the “Lessons learned” process and utilize findings from the process to update tools and processes.
    • Provide advice to the team in Identifying the right engineering design vendor and executing the project in line with the schedule & budget.
    •  Establish training programs to enhance & develop the capability of team individuals

     

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Educational:

    • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    Experience:

    • 7 to 12 years of industry experience
    • Prior design work experience as lead for a minimum of 5 years on mechanical / structural
    • Sound knowledge of all international codes and standards
    • Past experience as Engineering Manager is preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge on international codes/ standards.
    • All project phases execution from engineering to start up, including pre-commissioning, commissioning and troubleshooting

        Job Summary<br /><br />The role of Mechanical Equipment / Piping Engineer is to support the Engineering Lead and Product Engineering Manager. They will be accountable for the mechanical and piping scope and systems in large scale data centers across the design, construction, assembly, testing,installation, and commissioning phases. The Mechanical / Piping Engineer will be responsible for checking and approving drawings / designs; interface communication, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and safety of the overall mechanical scope of work for Oil & Gas Modules meets customer’s requirements and Industrial Standards.<br /><br />The Mechanical Equipment / Piping Engineer will play a critical role with supporting the plant during the manufacturing stage. They will also be assisting various stakeholders in troubleshooting site installation and commissioning problems.<br /><br />Roles and Responsibilities<br /><br />The Engineer will support the goals and programs established by the management team. These<br />roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:<br />- Checking and approving drawings, information and documentation which meets Industrial standards and code to enable the manufacturing group and other departments to produce.<br />- Review and monitor Engineering work, as required, to assure accuracy and conformance with Client and / or Company Specifications, governing codes, good engineering practices,good safety practices, project procedures, and job requirements.<br />Attend and initiate Design and Development Planning and Review session to meet customer’s and industry’s need.<br />Prepare TRs (Technical Requisitions) for mechanical systems and various components.<br />Review vendor quotations and provide feedback to procurement team.<br />Prepare and complete various mechanical engineering deliverable drawings, documents, and calculations such as valve list, equipment lists, piping line list, piping stress / flexibility study, line sizing of pipe, mechanical equipment data sheets, etc.<br />Prepare bulk MTOs (Material Take Offs) and detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials).<br />Ability and willingness to think outside of the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs while managing impact to quality, cost, or schedule.<br />Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs and applications.<br />Interprets, organizes, executes assignments in a self-driven and self-sufficient manner.<br />Makes decisions independently on technical problems and methods and represents the organization in meetings to resolve important questions.<br />Applies advanced or state-of-the-art knowledge and experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.
