● Residential Routing Guidance: Walk through homes and multi-dwelling units (MDUs)
with occupants to map out discrete, safe, and agreed-upon wire pathways.
● Building-to-Building Deployment: Design and execute cross-connects, drop cables,
and fiber/copper routing from main distribution points into and across target buildings.
● Network Migration: Cut over legacy connections to the newly reconstructed
building-to-building network with minimal downtime for existing users.
● Quality Assurance: Ensure all indoor and outdoor wiring meets safety standards, local
building codes, and aesthetic guidelines to minimize property damage and avoid owner
complaints.
● Perform signal testing, continuity checks, and speed/throughput validation
post-installation.
● Maintain accurate field logs, updated building topology maps, and signed permission
forms.
● Coordinate closely with backend Network Operations Center (NOC) teams to verify
successful cut-overs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
● Experience: 2+ years of field experience in telecom deployment, fiber-to-the-home
(FTTH), structured cabling, or network field engineering.
● Interpersonal Skills: Proven track record in customer-facing roles with strong
negotiation, conflict-resolution, and persuasion skills.
● Technical Knowledge:
○ Hands-on experience with fiber optics (splicing, patching, OTDR testing) and/or
Ethernet/coaxial cabling.
○ Solid understanding of building-to-building topology, micro-trenching, conduit
placement, and indoor cable routing
