Network & Security Support Engineer
Role Objective:
Manage and secure the organisation’s network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and
VPNs, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Configure, monitor, and manage FortiGate firewalls (policies, SSL VPN, IPS, content filtering).
• Administer Cisco Layer 2/3 switches including VLAN configuration, trunking, and routing
protocols.
• Administer Wired & Wireless networking along with Guest Wi-Fi Management
• Monitor and respond to network alerts from NMS tools (PRTG, Zabbix, or equivalent).
• Ensure network availability in compliance with security and uptime SLAs.
• Implement changes in line with the organisation’s IT Security Policy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network and connectivity issues.
• Document network diagrams, firewall rules, and configuration changes.
• Support security audits and implement remediation recommendations.
Desired Profile:
• Graduate in IT/Computer Networks or equivalent.
• 4–6 years of experience in network and security operations.
• Strong working knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and Cisco switching/routing.
