Role : VPI Program Manager (NPD Program Manager)
Function : Program Management (Sales & Marketing)
Job Summary: Executes overall program management of small/large scope change(s) (varying complexity & size) and delivers VPI (Value Package Introduction) that meets needs of Customers and business. Partners with business stakeholders to ensure a successful project completion.
Key responsibilities:
·Leads VPI programs with small/large business impact from inception to completion
·Defines tangible and measurable customer expectations and business outcomes, and leads the program(s) to achieve both
·Determines the scope, schedule, and resources with key cross functional, cross-Business Units, and external stakeholders. Obtains stakeholder commitment and approval of the program contract
·Ensures adherence of the program(s) to Value Package Introduction (VPI) process. Tracks and communicates performance against the program contract with senior leadership on an occasional basis. Interfaces and communicates to internal stakeholders on regular basis
·Leads cross-functional identification and mitigation of program risks and issues. Appropriately escalates risks and issues as needed
·Leads cross-functional identification and resolution of program contract changes (scope, schedule, resources). Coaches and develops peer program manager(s) and/or program leader(s). Adopts and shares best practices
·Leads cost reduction initiatives as it part of program to meet customer and business requirements
·Work closely with cross functional core team, identifies risk and issues of the program and work towards the solution of the same within the timeline

- Project Schedule Management - Manages the planned schedule using the recommended schedule management tools and processes to drive completion within the agreed timeline.
- Project Scope Management - Manages a list of project deliverables (scope) using the recommended project management tools and processes to ensure that the project includes all the work required and only the work required to complete the project successfully.

- Adapts to target audience - Explains complex topics (significant technical data, subject matter expertise, etc.) in such a way that the target audience (e.g. sales professionals, customers, training vendors, etc.) can understand, retain, and use the information
- Technical capabilities – Having a knowledgeable understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal forming, precision machining, forging & casting. Capable to understand the basics of engineering validation analytics and generic structural/performance testing

Education, Licenses , Certifications:
- College, University or equivalent degree required
- Practical Project Management experience preferred
- New product development training / or experience preferred
- Technical Project management/Sourcing/Supplier quality experience is additional weightage
Experience:
10-12 years of relevant new product development experience. Experience with New Product development/Program Management is preferred
