General position purpose & brief description of the position

Manage plant personnel and ensure a high level of performance through transparent communication and efficient empowerment.

Drive the optimization of existing production operations in order to meet defined.

To organize purchase and PPC according to demand and quality standards, to ensure our goods are produced on time for delivery in time, be well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them.

To be organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills.

PPC, Stores & Logistics

  • Detailed analysis of ERP Microsoft to look out for Open Production dashboard.
  • Close coordination with internal sales to update the promise FG dates and work hard towards in meeting 95% OTD.
  • Analysis of sales dashboard having Item Wise sale, Pending sales orders and FG inventory along with Internal sales team.
  • Work towards making High Quality products by ensuring robust Processes in the shopfloor.
  • Live and imbibe Lean Six Sigma work culture in the company
  • releasing Production orders, Sub contracting orders & material planning requisitions (for traded / outsourced FG products) in ERP system on daily basis.
  • Working on ERP based report like based on OTD and quality deliveries for continuous improvement.
  • Reviewing technical specifications for raw materials, components and equipment.
  • Support NPD (New product development) activity.
  • Take the lead in creating profitable ways to manage obsolete and slow-moving stock to help offset losses.
  • Liquidating stocks on priority before forwarding Planning worksheet to Purchase for procurement.
  • Measure and manage the vendor and supplier cost, quality and delivery performance.
  • Troubleshoot cost, quality and delivery concerns.
  • Ensure all data fields are kept updated in ERP, required for smooth operation of MRP engine.
  • Act on the MRP output and facilitate timely placement of shortages to Purchase head- drive it keeping delivery commitments.
  • Lead Purchase, and production whenever necessary.
  • Produce regular reports on despatch commitments, FG stocks and delivery performance
  • Daily review of dispatch to ensure on-time and accurate processes of transactions between operations.
  • Control production schedules - based on best scenarios available with Purchase/stores and production.

Production & Maintenance

  • Workshop people management
  • Ensure the adherence to Standard Time and supervise the control of shop floor efficiency.
  • Quality and On Time Delivery survey
  • Responsible for the Productivity improvement Plan
  • Shop Floor organization (lay-out).
  • Definition of the needs for Production equipment and tooling - make list NEW.
  • Recommendations on local production vs. sub-contracting - for inline rejections.
  • Define needs of in production equipment and tooling
  • Shop Floor organisation (lay-out)
  • Equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Decision on in house vs sub-contracting - system edition/inducting can be done within team or need outsource assistance.
  • Supervise new products industrialization
  • Products standard cycle time calculation and ensure these timelines are adhered to.
  • Assembly instructions - Display and availability on shop floor.
  • Worker - skill matrix, sharing MIS on Monthly basis.
  • Training the Team - for using of tools/equipment on the shop floor.
  • Train workforce; identify competent personnel and develop Skill Matrix.
  • Schedule production activities on a day-to-day basis.
  • To feed daily production in ERP
  • Maintenance of the production equipment and all other plant utilities etc. Minimise MTTR and maximize MTBF.
  • Implementation of CBM (condition-based monitoring system) for all major / critical equipment in the plant.
  • Assess skills, organize trainings and ensure personal development of subordinate staff.
  • Support all layout changes.
  • Drive KAIZEN program in shopfloor and all the teams under your supervision.
  • Ensure all Production and Maintenance - MIS reports are produced on time.
  • Sub-Contract coordination between Workers and HR dept.

General

  • Ensure all Planning, Production, Maintenance and Despatch - MIS reports
  • Quick response to escalations & timely resolution of all issues, which can affect business performance.
  • Support engineering to drive BOM / RPO for the New production plan, Product/Part alteration & industrialisation substitutes if needed
  • Pro-actively drive actions/Improvement to achieve excellence in all Plant KPI
