Job Summary
The Process Engineer will be primarily responsible for establishing, documenting, and optimizing manufacturing processes within the MFT department, with a critical focus on New Product Development (NPD) process sign-offs, specifically managing the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.

Key Responsibilities
- PPAP & APQP Management: Drive and manage all documentation and submission requirements for the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Coordinate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Feasibility Study activities for new product introduction.

- Process Planning and Documentation: Develop, implement, and maintain detailed process documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for machining, assembly, and other manufacturing operations.

- Manufacturing Process Optimization: Conduct time studies and work studies to analyze and improve work methods, and establish production norms. Implement process improvement techniques such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle time.

- Tooling and Fixture Development: Collaborate on the design, development, and implementation of jigs, fixtures, special-purpose machines (SPMs), and gauges to ensure process capability and quality during new product ramp-up.

- Quality System Compliance: Work closely with the Quality team on core quality tools, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Measurement System Analysis (MSA). Ensure manufacturing processes comply with relevant quality standards (e.g., IATF 16949).

- Cost & Waste Reduction: Analyze process inefficiencies and propose engineering solutions for cost reduction, rework minimization, and waste elimination.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of dedicated experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or New Product Development (NPD), preferably within the heavy engineering, automotive, or precision machining sectors.

- Skills: Proven hands-on experience and proficiency in PPAP and core tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA). Sound knowledge of CNC process planning and machining cost estimation.
