2. Quality Management System (QMS):
- Implement and maintain QMS standards across the plant.
- Lead initiatives to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and improve overall plant
performance.
3. Employee Safety:
- Ensure that all safety protocols are strictly adhered to, ensuring a safe working
environment for all employees.
4. New Product Development (NPD):
- Oversee the development of new products in line with customer requirements
and timelines.
- Responsible for the customer approval process and approval of new parts.
- Lead the design and procurement of tools and fixtures for new products.
- Manage the PSW approval process from customers and ensure smooth
handover to production.
5. Process Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement in plant operations, including productivity
improvement through reduction in machine, manual, and setup time.
- Focus on standardizing processes such as cycle time, SWCT, control plans, and
ensuring alignment with B2B standards.
6. Cost Management:
- Focus on reducing the cost per component and improving process feasibility to
achieve cost-effective production.7. Machine Management:
- Oversee the finalization and implementation of new machines, ensuring
successful proofing out in production.
- Monitor machine downtime, prepare maintenance schedules, and ensure timely
repairs.
- Coordinate machine trials at suppliers' end and ensure all necessary machine
trials are executed efficiently.
8. Documentation & Compliance:
- Responsible for updating key documents including Control Plans, PFMEA, PFC,
PPAP, SOPs, and fixture or tool drawings.
- Ensure that all documents are in compliance with the relevant quality and safety
standards.
9. Fixture and Tool Management:
- Monitor and track the status of fixture maintenance, prioritizing fixture orders
based on downtime records.
- Coordinate with the tooling department for PM schedules and updates based on
line issues.
- Prepare RGPs and coordinate material handling for external vendors for machine
trials or repairs.
10. Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of engineers and technicians to achieve production
goals.
- Ensure team adherence to quality standards and continuous training for skill
development.
